To me a spa is heaven on earth, but my latest quest for full-bodied relaxation took me out to sea for an encounter with the most holistic kind.
On board Celebrity Cruises' newest luxury liner is Infinity AquaSpa, where the promise of full-bodied relaxation is quintessential at this luxurious 25,000-square-foot facility. This is the only ship, besides Celebrity's Millennium launched last year, to facilitate a floating spa of such magnitude, featuring the exclusive treatments and products of Elemis Ltd. and the most unforgettable experience called "Sensory Heaven." |

There is a sense of purpose to all the feelings attributed to relaxation, and in the end, fulfillment comes from the Sensory Heaven experience. I am still conscious of these words that appear at the top of the spa treatment a la carte menu:
Be still let the senses dance their delight Be trusting let your senses lead you on an inner journey This is a classic opportunity to discover yourself surrounded by experts trained in the art of Eastern and Western therapies. Light, spirit, balance, tranquility, harmony, escape and retreat are relative to every spa treatment. It's always a challenge for me to choose from the invigorating lineup at every spa, and Infinity's AquaSpa is no exception, especially when I realize no other American locations offer some of these exclusive treatments. The AquaSpa original selections include Exotic Milk Treatments, Japanese Face Rituals, Oriental Aroma Stone Therapy and Estruscan Chamber Ritual. This is a self-indulgent celebration my body and senses will never forget. Be a prince or princess in a private grotto at the Persian Garden filled with revitalizing steam, fog shower and tumultuous sprays of "Victoria Falls." Succumb to the intriguing and ancient oriental ceremony called Rasul, an hour of pure bliss. Feel the purifying mask penetrating and cleansing your skin, culminating with an herbal steam bath, an especially exotic experience that I would highly recommend for couples.
If you're not averse to 'homework' even on a cruise, take along the Eternal Synergy skin boosters to keep your transformation alive upon your return. Don't forget skin regeneration is vital as breathing oxygen and protecting yourself from environmental hazards. Elemis develops eternal synergy skin treatments from oxygenating essential oils, collagen rich plants and cutting-edge Absolutes. Elemis Exotic Cream Moisturizing Mask is the answer to every busy woman's dream - apply a light layer to the face and neck at bedtime and reap the nourishing benefits absorbed from the synergy of mimosa, honey, Sea Rocket, orange and bergamot. Rinse off with warm water and use Active Skin Complex, an anti-oxidant synergy of pure plant beta-carotene, vegetable active Palmisomes and Jasmine Absolute. The result? Radiantly beautiful skin! It's just another 'treasure' to bring home. Using Eastern massage techniques, the Aromapure Facial is a therapeutic facial that balances the body and mind while oxygenating the skin. Guests are treated for their individual needs and can choose from four options - the Fruit Active revitalizes dull skin, the Herbal Lavender Repair heals and repairs congested oily skin and the Exotic Cream Moisture Dew hydrates dry skin, while Absolute Lift improves skin tone. Continue on a sensory voyage with the Hawaiian Wave Four Hands Massage and banish your cares as two pairs of hands move over your body in perfect symphony with each other. Other alternatives include the Well-Being Massage (Stress-a-Way, Spirit Reviver, Muscle Melt and Chakra Balancing), and couples only Well-Being Massage sessions (seminar and friendship).
Try the Exotic Coconut Rub and Milk Ritual Wrap or Float (the wrap is sensuous, the float is luxurious). This traditional Balinese coconut recipe is known to "polish" the skin as the oil soothes the senses. Equally entrancing is the Tahitian Exotic Frangipani Body Nourish Wrap with the vital Monoi oil used by Polynesian women as a skin softener and hair conditioner. The Resort Deck is totally committed to health, fitness and beauty. A total of 16 ritual rooms include one dry float room, eight treatment rooms, three dry treatment rooms, one full body treat room fully accessible for the disabled, the Sultan Bath, the Mediterranean Float and the Persian Garden. Two fitness instructors at the AquaSpa fitness area are available for personal training, lifestyle consultation, body composition analysis and to conduct classes. And then there's the AquaSpa Cafe where guests enjoy healthy meals in a relaxed atmosphere. The Beauty Suite offers guests a wide selection of services including hair styling, coloring, waving and manicures and pedicures with full ocean views. If you are as passionate about re-awakening your senses and developing a 'feel-good' attitude, you're well on your way with Infinity AquaSpa and Elemis........"take a step towards sensory heaven, close your eyes and let the power of Elemis speak for itself."
